Here is the coil gun from the barrel side, you can see the three stages clearly, the transformer, to the upper right. The projectile is loaded from the right. |

Here you can see the switch panel with the two charge meters (we still need another one for the third coil), the three charge buttons to the left, the three manual fire switches (only one is used under normal operation) the saftey switches and master power at the bottom.
On the main board from the top you can see the three SCR's below their respective coil, then the two optical sensor boards, followed by the maintiming board, main connection box, and the 12 volt regulator board on the bottom left. The Mouser electronics boxes in the background are used to store the capacitors. |

The top and bottom of the timing circuit board, the buttons are for manual triggering, used for testing. The circuit is simpley four 555 timers, it is basically the same circuit twice. |

This is one of the sensor blocks. It is made from a solid aluminium cube and serves as a place where the optical sensors can work without interference. They also prevent the barrel from moving when the gun is fired. |
